Our Method

All classes are designed to be fun, super energising and a complete body workout.

They are broken down into sections focusing on all major muscle groups, including arms, shoulders, glutes, legs, back and core.

The classes mainly focus on small pulsing movements with an emphasis on form, alignment and core engagement.

You’ll hold your body still while contracting specifically targeted sets of muscles in isometric exercises, where muscles are worked to a point of fatigue. Feel that shake. Love that burn!

Additional strengthening equipment is used to increase resistance to help sculpt your body, plus keep it fun. Yoga blocks, exercise balls and many more will be provided.

We finish with yoga stretches to help prevent muscle soreness, elongate muscles, enhance flexibility and relieve tension. This ensures you leave the class feeling centred and fully relaxed.

Positive Mindful Experience

All classes incorporate yoga-inspired stretches, working with the breath to enhance your mind, body and connection.

This is an effective way of eliminating stress and anxiety, as well as improving your sleep and boosting mental clarity. All of which deepens the connection to your mind, body and soul.

TheLoveOfBarre is for Everyone

4theloveofbarre is suitable for newbies and fitness enthusiasts alike.

Classes can be taken with or without additional equipment and built up gradually at your own pace.

Once comfortable and ready, you can ramp up the intensity and raise the barre by adding weights and more challenging moves, without putting a strain on ligaments and tendons like other fitness training methods. All classes are modified to meet all fitness levels and requirements. Different options are given to meet all participants’ needs to ensure a safe and effective workout.

The 4TheLoveofBarre Effect

Each class will burn calories, strengthen and build your muscles without increasing bulk.

The classes work to build alignment, strengthen your core and tone elongated muscles, improving flexibility, posture and muscle endurance. You’ll finish with relaxing yoga stretches leaving you calm and centred.

History of Barre

Barre was developed by a ballerina. After injuring her back, Lotte Berk, a German dancer living in London, came up with the idea to combine her dance conditioning routine with her rehabilitative therapy. She opened her first studio in 1959 in her London basement, where famous faces such as Joan Collins and Barbra Streisand regularly came to lift, tuck and curl.
